Check List
We want the students who are coming for SPIE Asia Conference take following documents with them to claim their grant.
1. Identity Card/Passport.
2. SPIE Membership Card/Member ID.
3. Invitation letter for attending SPIE Asia 2008 conference.
4. Recommendation letter from your respective chapter advisor that you will be representing your chapter.
5. Copies of travel tickets.
Accommodation Location
To reach NUS high school of Mathematics and Science, you need to take metro from Changi airport and get down at Clementi MRT Station. From Clementi MRT you can take 96 or 183 and alight at "The Veterinary Surgery", its a 2 minute walk to NUS high school of Mathematics and Science from the bus stop. In the map, NUS high school of Mathematics and Sciences is shown by letter A.
Once you get there you can report to the hostel security and the security will show you your room. The security will be there 24/7 so dont worry about what time you arrive. The rooms are twin sharing rooms. Girls and boys will be accommodated separately.
For Singapore Management University (Venue for Laser Metrology and SPIE Asia conference) you can take metro from clementi MRT Station to City Hall MRT Station. In map, Singapore Management University is shown by letter B.

SPIE Asia
It is our pleasure to announce SPIE Students Chapters Conference which will be held in Singapore this year (June 30-July 2, 2008). This kind of student conference is being organized for the first time in Asia. We hope to have good interaction between SPIE student chapters, especially, from the Asian region. This conference will be conducted along with the "International Symposium on Laser Metrology, June 30-July 2, 2008, Singapore." We would like to invite you or any one of your chapter's committee members to attend this conference. We would be glad to provide partial financial support to one representative of your student chapter. This support would cover the major part of your airfare. Moreover, free accommodation will be provided to representatives during the conference. Some companies, working in Optics, are also participating in the conference and they are interested in having good interaction with students for recruitment process.
